As Executive Vice President, Services & Strategic Operations at inContact, Bassam Salem has completely overhauled the company’s professional services organization, turning it into a strategic business unit that is a profit center for inContact and a strategic partner to inContact’s customers.

Bassam has focused the company’s industry-leading professional services organization around the inContact customers, providing a broad range of management consulting services, from implementation and integration to education and business process reengineering.  Bassam’s deep expertise in services methodology, best practices, and operations has meant significant improvements in the value our customers receive from consulting engagements and the efficiency and professionalism with which the engagements are delivered.  

He brings clarity and vision to the inContact professional services organization, which is encapsulated in Mark Twain’s statement, “Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”

Bassam has nearly twenty-five years of experience in the enterprise software space.  After a decade-long career leading product development teams, culminating with a stint at Philips Electronics, Bassam transitioned to consulting and professional services, where he spent the next fifteen years building, growing, and managing high performance consulting organizations at pioneering SaaS companies such as IBM Global Services, Siebel Systems (now Oracle), and Omniture (now Adobe), among others.  

Bassam started young, entering high school at age 12, programming professionally at age 15, and completing his first Masters degree at age 22.  He holds BS, MS, and MPhil degrees in Computer Science as well as an MBA from the University of Utah.  Bassam taught at a number of departments at the University of Utah between 1991 and 1999 and served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University’s Eccles School of Business.  He is the principal on three international patents and the author of numerous published journal articles.
