inContact and Smoothstone IP Communications Announce Strategic Partnership


Companies to provide SaaS Contact Center and Cloud-Based Unified Communications to Clients

SALT LAKE CITY, UT and LOUISVILLE, KY – (September 10, 2009) – inContact (NASDAQ: SAAS) (www.inContact.com), the market leader in on-demand contact center software and agent optimization tools, announced today that it has formed a strategic partnership with Smoothstone IP Communications (www.smoothstone.com), a nationwide provider of cloud-based unified IP communications services.  This partnership moves the companies closer to their shared vision of enterprise communication tools delivered as cloud-based, federated services.

inContact focuses on the complex routing needs of the contact center, including skills-based routing, Integrated Voice Response (IVR) and Computer Telephony Integration (CTI). Smoothstone delivers VoIP solutions, IP trunking services, unified threat management, MPLS networking, messaging and advanced collaboration tools as an integrated suite of managed services and cloud-based applications.

This strategic alliance will allow inContact and Smoothstone to offer joint solutions to customers who demand advanced, enterprise grade communications and contact center solutions without the cost and complexity of owning and operating on-premise equipment.

The two companies recently signed their first joint customer, a 211 information referral organization. This social service non-profit organization processes calls involving community, health and disaster response information for municipalities in California. The organization needed a flexible solution that could deal with the unpredictable nature of their communications needs in a cost effective and reliable way.  The on-demand services offered by inContact and Smoothstone were the perfect solution.
