Keep Your New Year’s Resolutions with New Balance

Hi. My name is Laura. Pleasure to meet you. I’m a forty-something, full-time, work-from-home, mother-of-two, wife-of-one, expert multi-tasker. I’m good at a number of things… and at this time of the year, that would be making New Year’s resolutions. My downfall is sticking to those resolutions throughout the year and I bet I’m not alone. Do any of these resemble yours?

Resolution #1: Shed the freshman-15 gained back in college (uh, hello, that was almost 25 years ago!)

Resolution #2: Get involved in my community. Help those in need.

Resolution #3: Create more and more family time.

This year, I’m going to make it all happen. Promise. Here’s my plan:

Resolution #1: To combat my quarter century battle with the freshman-15, I’m asking Ole Saint Nick for new exercise gear from New Balance including their Vazee Pace Pink Ribbon Shoes, named “Best in Class” Light Trainer/Racer” by Triathlete Magazine just last month. Hey, Saint Nick, don’t stop there - I love just about everything with the New Balance Pink Ribbons so feel free to sneak any additional items into my stocking!

Resolution #2: The New Balance Lace Up for the Cure® Collection is going to help me to work up my exercise habits for an important cause in my community: I’m planning on using my new shoes to Lace Up for the Cure® and “put more feet in the fight against breast cancer”. With every purchase of shoes, apparel and accessories from the New Balance Lace Up for the Cure® collection, New Balance contributes a minimum of donation of $500,000 per year through 2017 to the Susan G. Komen® organization. Need extra motivation? Check out the Laceup 365 Survival Stories from breast cancer survivors (or share your own) and let’s hit the street together!

Resolution #3: My husband and I have a teenager and a pre-teen at home and that means only a handful of years separate them from college (and us from an empty nest). We have to live every moment, but to our daughters’ style and in our house, that inevitably means time spent on the tennis courts. The New Balance website has special sections for almost every sport so, if tennis isn’t for you, there’s something for everyone at NewBalance.com. Looking for ideas?
